Dump Jeter

December 2010
New York;12/13/2010, Vol. 43 Issue 41, p22
The author calls on the baseball team New York Yankees to get rid of its shortstop Derek Jeter amid its tendency to offer high salary in order for him to stay in the team. He says that the team has been kind to Jeter for offering a three-year contract worth 45 million dollars when he is only worth five million. He adds that Jeter gained bad publicity after it was revealed that he demanded the same amount as team mate Alex Rodgriguez, also known as A-Rod, receives. He stresses that teams should not pay players based on their past performance.
