ABSTRACT
The article reports on the pursuit of legislation for the redevelopment of food safety system due to salmonella outbreak resulting to egg recall in the U.S. It states that U.S. Democratic leaders will proceed with the new version of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act despite the objections of Republican Senator Tom Coburn. It adds that a provision to forbid the use of bisphenol A from baby products is yet to be discussed.
