The article examines television programs presented on cable television which were canceled by cable television companies due to low ratings. The cancellation of the drama "Rubicon" by the cable network American Movie Classics (AMC) is used as an example to illustrate the fact that although programs on cable television can be profitable with lower ratings than are required on broadcast television, the danger of failure still exists.
