An outstanding education program has been planned for the Institute's Certified Financial Planners (CFP), Practitioners Retreat '96. This year's event, to be held between July 10-14, 1996 at Grand Traverse Resort. Traverse City, Michigan, will feature some of the most distinguished experts in the financial services world, including academicians, corporate experts, and financial planning practitioners. Retreat '96 will see encore speaking engagements of some old favorites. Roger Gibson, CFA, CFP will be back to discuss "Managing Client Expectations." Life insurance authorities Ben Baldwin and Dick Webet will offer insurance strategy and industry overview sessions. "The Retreat advisory committee is committed to providing the best advanced financial planning educational program in the country," said Jeffrey Rattiner, CPA, CFP, Institute director of professional development. Preludes to the CFP Practitioner Retreat include a half-day seminar on "Evaluating Real Estate investment Trusts," co-sponsored by the Institute and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, and the Master Planners Conference, which will focus on the introduction of Practice Standards by the CFP Board of Standards.
