The article reports that Waltham, Massachusetts-based intelligent workload management firm Novell Inc. will be acquired by Attachmate Corp. Under the definitive merger agreement valued at around 2.2 billion U.S. dollars, Attachmate will pay 6.10 U.S. dollars per share in cash to complete the acquisition. Novell also announced that it will be selling intellectual property assets to CPTN Holdings LLC for a cash price of 450 million U.S. dollars. CPTN is a consortium organized by Microsoft Corp.
