ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move by the Australian Defence Department to choose the firm ST Marine as the winning bidder for the conversion and double-hulling of the Royal Australian Navy tanker HMAS "Success" in Singapore in a bid to make the vessel compliant to the International Maritime Organisation standards for environmental protection against oil spills.
