ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the scrapping of Great Britain's Youth Justice Board (YJB), and the fate of other social care quangos in the country. It is stated that the functions of YJB will be transferred into the Ministry of Justice as part of a reform programme including the wider criminal justice system. Social bodies stated to be in danger include the Office of the Children's Commissioner for England, and the Independent Safeguarding Authority.
