ABSTRACT
The article offers information on how to lessen the total carbon footprint of data center in 2010 in the U.S. It states that the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineer can optimize the MEP systems to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency by innovative design and building performance modeling. It states that the most effective reduction strategy for carbon for the mechanical systems of data center is the extension of equipment thermal comfort limits.
