ABSTRACT
The article discusses the significance of understanding the business roles of pharmaceutical representatives in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry. It describes the concepts of business acumen which is the representative's ability to evaluate business situation and make the right decisions to increase profitability. It suggests that in order to develop and increase knowledge about business acumen, representatives can take courses which are offered by pharmaceutical associations.
