ABSTRACT
The article discusses the new policy adopted by the Congo government to revive its mining industry and attracting foreign mining companies for business in the country. The opening of a five-star hotel by Lonrho PLC in the mining district town Lubumbashi shows the economic readiness of the country. Victor Kasonga, deputy mines minister in the Congo government, describes that mining leases review started in 2006 is completed and describes that the country is ready for business.
