ABSTRACT
The article discusses the construction of the Alta Velocidad Española (AVE) high speed rail line between Madrid and Valencia, Spain. According to Renfe Operadora president Teófilo Serrano, the line will open just in time for the Christma season. The line is expected to operate between 13 to 17 high speed services per day, with about 12,500 passengers per day.
