ABSTRACT
The article offers information on a one-year contract awarded by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority to Northrop Grumman for the development of an automated, high-throughput diagnostic system used for determining whether an individual was exposed to a biological threat. The contract, valued at 9.6 million U.S. dollars, will involve Northrop Grumman's Confirmation of Harmful Agents by MassTag PCR-Rapid Screening Platform (BioCHAMP-RSP). It is initially capable of identifying between 10 to 20 pathogens.
