ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the research on the coverage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) in Massachusetts and in the medically underserved areas in the U.S. The author outlines and emphasizes the effect of the provisions of PPACA to address disparities in medical coverage. The author mentions the shortage in primary care and the major initiatives to deal with the disparities in health care system which remains the major concern in Massachusetts and in the U.S.
