ABSTRACT
The article discusses issues surrounding the CVC Capital Partners' buyout of Swiss telecom operator Sunrise. According to some European telecommunication experts, the deal, which amounted to 3 billion euros, could prompt similar transactions in the next months. Louis Kenna, head of European media and telecom financing at BNP Paribas, the Sunrise financing is considered to be one of the largest deals in 2010, with 1 billion U.S. dollars in high yield bonds and a similar amount of bank debt and is oversubscribed.
