ABSTRACT
The article reports on the need for the hotel industry to adopt the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and make essential alterations in their operations. It states that the best-of-breed solutions are aimed to specifically offer all the functionality and features needed for the particular business unit. Decisions on how to communicate with the guest, setup treatments, configure rates and how to manage guest information have to be considered by the whole operation.
