ABSTRACT
The article presents the study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) which examines the status of the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-R (GOES-R) program. Furthermore, it evaluates the plans created by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the program. Findings of the study reveal that NOAA has made a gradual improvement on the GOES-R acquisition. It indicates that it also established a good continuity plan for its satellites.
