The article presents a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the statement of International Affairs and Trade Director Loren Yager concerning the contribution of the U.S. Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) to the export promotion goals. It describes the progress that the bank has made to boost exports and achieve targets set by Congress. It provides an overview of the ways in which export activities can improve U.S. economic output and the agency's export promotion efforts.
