ABSTRACT
The article reports on the implication of the depleting overseas worker's remittances to the economy of Bangladesh. It mentions that the there is little doubt that the remittances have been falling since the middle of 2008 due to weak private sector sentiments and tight lending conditions. It affirms that despite such condition, there is a sense of optimism that the country will be able to pick-up in overseas investment activities in 2011.
