It is evident that the firm has trimmed the plant's work force by 400 in March 2009 due to the poor economy. Richard Kramer, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Goodyear, said that as tire demand if rowing, the firm is planning to spend about 1 billion dollar on capital improvements at its facilities.
