ABSTRACT
The article offers library-related news briefs in Northwest Georgia as of fall 2010. The city of Dalton has approached the Dalton-Whitfield Public Library to join in the planning of a new under construction community center. According to Dalton Mayor David Pennington, the presence of a public library is a priority for the new center because education is essential to the future success of children. Homebound readers in Gordon, Murray and Whitfield began receiving book deliveries from newspaper carriers in July.
