ABSTRACT
The article discusses a report by mobile enterprise vendor Sybase and the University of Texas in Austin that analyzes the association between effective data access and key performance metrics of Fortune 1000 companies. The report concludes that the average Fortune 1000 business in the sample could boost yearly revenue by 2.01 billion U.S. dollars by elevating the usability of its data by 10%. The study explored five attributes of data, namely, quality, usability, intelligence, remote accessibility and sales mobility.
