ABSTRACT
The article features a pioneering computer model called the Parameter-Elevation Regressions on Independent Slopes Model (PRISM), which takes readings of mountain climates. It is said that Chris Daly, Oregon State University climatologist, was the developer of PRISM and is to make its public debut as the tool behind the U.S. Department of Agriculture's first revision of plant hardiness zones. PRISM's power stem is also said to be better than most regional climate model.
