Commissioning Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them

The article offers problems in commissioning (Cx) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects and ways of solving them in the U.S. To avoid delays and additional labor expense when owners decide to reduce costs despite the request for proposals (RFP) sent, the author suggests to focus on RFP than undergo new process. When owners does not know where to start the project despite the RFP, he suggest to ask for proof of formal Cx training and certification from representatives.
