ABSTRACT
The article offers the author's experience of joining the Birdathon Day in Jackson County, Oregon in 2010. It states that the Birdathon begins at 6 p.m. to accommodate pizza and beer-fueled list-compilation party that starts 24 hours later. The author notes that the theme song for his group, the Falcons, would be "Bat Out of Hell" since "Freebird" is too mellow. He mentions that his team, which in 2008 grabbed the title by recording 152 bird species, was dethroned by Great Grays team last year.
