The article highlights the P-Direkt program of the government of Netherlands adopted by Great Britain. It is a human resource (HR) shared service center combining HR for transactional services for all government ministries and aiming to save 500 million euros between 2004 and 2015. Among it objectives are reducing workforce numbers, removing duplication from the autonomous status of the ministries and consolidating dispersed expertise. Details on how the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations adopted the project are discussed.
