ABSTRACT
Information about the meeting conducted by Richard Oliver, executive vice president (EVP) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Retail Payments Forum, on the future of payments in the U.S. is presented. Topics include the deployment of chip-and-pin payment cards, the issues of EMV migration and the development of various security strategies on the evolution of Near Field Communication (NFC) and mobile payments. The meeting was attended by forum members such as Lisa Stanton and Avivah Litan.
