The article offers information on the use of traditional reading strategies in understanding the Internet. It states that the application of Internet-based research in classrooms strengthens the literacy skills of the students wherein applying some traditional reading strategies can help support their understanding at a high-functioning level. It suggests the use of skimming and scanning strategies which contributes to a successful Internet and traditional text reading experiences.
