ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the air logistics of military operations for moving material and personnel to remote areas quickly and safely. Aircrafts used in U.S. military operations include the Sikorsky CH-53E in the 1970s and the Advanced Joint Air Combat System (Ajacs) in 2008. Current helicopters include Rosvertol-built Mil Mi-26 being operated by Russia, he Beechcraft King Air 350 operated by the Iraqi Air Force and the Dornier Do 228 of Ruag Aviation, Switzerland. It also mentions drone helicopters and twin-truboprops.
