ABSTRACT
The article offers tips for grandparents on how to show good money behaviors to their grandchildren in the U.S. It claims that when it comes to financial planning and money management, grandparents are not good examples to their grandchildren since many of them grew up during economic prosperity. It offers suggestions to parents and grandparents on how to teach their children to think reflectively and delay gratification with regards to money. It presents the experiment of psychologist Walter Mischel on emotional self-control of toddlers which found out that those who delay gratification became successful in their adult lives.
