ABSTRACT
The article reports on a contract awarded by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to General Dynamics for Phase II of the Security Technology Integrated Program (STIP), an agency-wide information technology (IT) scheme aimed at connecting all of the transportation screening equipment on one network. The first phase of the program, which called for the development of initial networking capabilities, was done by Raytheon. The project is the first systems integration contract of the firm with the agency.
