ABSTRACT
This article reports on the 44% decline in the earnings of Cogent Systems during the first quarter of 2010. The decline is attributed to delays in revenues from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and some sales that were pulled into the fourth quarter of 2009. It cites a 7.5 million U.S. dollar contribution from Northrop Grumman as one of the sales drivers in the quarter. Meanwhile, L-1 Identity Solutions posted a widening of its first-quarter losses.
