ABSTRACT
The article offers information on creating positive emotional attractors (PEA) in pursuit of change, adaptation or response to threat. According to the author, stimulation of the PEA aids people function at their best. Compassionate coaching includes stirring the PEA by evoking dreams about the future, about possibilities and assisting people to communicate their personal vision. The effectiveness of executive coaches is predicted by two competencies, namely, empathy and emotional self-awareness.
