ABSTRACT
The article discusses how the sale of McAfee and 3PAR made other technology companies acquisition targets. It was pointed out that McAfee's sale to Intel prompted ArcSight Inc. to seek a possible buyer while the 3PAR deal with Hewlett-Packard (HP) made Comm-Vault a potential purchase target. It was also reported that Lazard Capital Markets and Bank of America Merrill Lynch have been appointed as advisors to Ameristar Casinos in its review of alternative investments.
