Laser sintering reduce number of components

The article reports on the move made by Andreas Hettich in establishing a company that will manufacture a variety of medical instruments such as centrifuge. It states that the manufacture of centrifuge boxes is cost intensive and involves time-consuming assembly that is why Hettich decided to apply laser sintering from EOS GmbH. It notes that laser sintering which is an additive layer manufacturing technology produced customized products in series production or as one-offs.
