SMA: Source Wind Towers in the U.S

The article reports that major parts and components for the Texas wind farm project will be provided by the Chinese companies Shenyang Power Group and A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd. Thomas A. Danjczek, President of Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA), states that imports of low-priced Chinese wind towers have contributed to the available domestic capacity. The Chinese companies will be assisted by the United Steelworkers (USW) in establishing a domestic supply chain of wind machines.
