ABSTRACT
The article analyzes a study which examined several popular international online news to determine the salience of countries in different news topics and their impacts on the political, economical and social strength of countries worldwide. News Web sites have become a popular medium of accessing news based on a report by Pew Research Center for People and the Press. It asserts that the increase in use of online networks and their biases can dramatically affect perception towards a particular country.
