ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the plan of Litfund, the financial arm of the Soviet Writers' Union, to divide the house of poet Boris Leonidovich Pasternak in Moscow, Russia. The union informs his son, Yevgeni, to remove his father belongings. The plan is bitterly received by Pasternak's family whom Yevgeni rejects suggestions that Litfund's action is an attempt to denigrate his father's memory. He also challenges the union to bring him to court to fight in keeping alive the memory of his father.
