ABSTRACT
The article focuses on issue of uncertainty of the shelter for MX, missiles loaded with 10 nuclear warheads, in the U.S. It is stated that the deployment of the missiles is to be decided by a 15-member expert panel chaired by Charles Townes. As stated, under the 40 billion dollar scheme, the missiles would be kept around 200 high-security drag stripes spread over 10,000 miles in the desert areas of the West. The missiles are intended to prevent any strike by the Soviet Union.
