According to a report from the "British Medical Journal," school phobia is a form of separation anxiety in which a rebellious child's real trouble is not the fear of school but fear of separation from parents. It mentions that the affected child is usually above the average in intelligence, but tends to be timid, sensitive, spoiled, and showing other fears and reactions, such as night terrors.
