ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the experienced of U.S. Armed Forces (U.S.A.F.) Captain James Palmer Lundy during a one-hour flight southwest to Hamburg. It states that copilot Captain George Anthony Jordan, had found out that there was a flight error and was piloting the plane around to return to the West German border 22 miles away. Moreover, it notes that Air Force Chief of Staff Thomas D. White in Washington affirmed that Lundy had violated pertinent flying regulations.
