ABSTRACT
The article focuses on 50-year-old Georgy Maximilianovich Malenkov, a secretary of the Central Committee, as the possible heir of Soviet Union leader Joseph Stalin's power. There has been a speculation that Stalin may will his powers to three men namely Malenkov, Lavrenty Beria and Vyacheslav Molotov. It says that unlike Stalin, Molotov and the other so-called Old Bolsheviks, Malenkov was never a revolutionary. Malenkov used to be married to a former secretary of Molotov.
