ABSTRACT
The article discusses the declining value of the earning power of college professors in the U.S. According to economics professor Clarence D. Long of Johns Hopkins University, the situation is partly due to the declining income from endowments while costs continues to increase. He also cites the other expenditures of universities as other reasons like building construction, maintenance cost and administration cost.
