ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the imprisonment of Brazilian Jonsine da Silva Ramos for the murder of his 20-year-old wife Monique. It mentions that Monique had initially selected her suitor Hernano da Silva over Jonsine but she married the latter while Hernano was attending to a coffee plantation in Brazil. She died after telling her husband about her plan to leave him for Hernano. Jonsine was arrested in Paris, France in December 1949 and was transferred to the Villa Chagrin at Bayonne in January 1950.
