ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a study comparing the effectiveness of lenient with strict rate control in preventing cardiovascular diseases in permanent atrial fibrillation (AF) patients, conducted by H. J. Crijns and colleagues. It discusses the methodology adopted during the study including the follow-up period, patients' age group, and types of therapies which were used. The study found no difference in the efficacy of both methods and comments upon the implications of its findings.
