ABSTRACT
The article presents a study tracing the effectiveness of high dose and non high dose proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) like omeprazole, post endoscopic treatment of bleeding peptic ulcers. According to the research by C. H. Wang and colleagues, high-dose and non high-dose PPIs doesn't affect recurrent ulcer bleeding, need for surgery and mortality rates. A chart presenting comparison of effectivity among high and non-high doses of PPIs, is also presented.
