ABSTRACT
The article presents a study establishing whether the administration of adrenergic beta agonists to asthma patients increases the risk of disease related to intubations and mortality. According to meta-analysis by S. R. Salpeter and colleagues long acting beta agonists (LABA) along with inhaled corticosteroids (ICs) increase the risk of asthma related mortality rate. A comparison chart depicting results for LABA and control for asthma related mortality, is also presented.
