The article presents the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on how the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) could improve public transit information sharing by streamlining and increased outreach. It describes the primary mechanisms used to share security information with public transit agencies. It evaluates the satisfaction of public transit agencies with federal efforts and offers recommendations on ways DHS should do to improve security-related information sharing.
