The article presents a reprint of the article "Spontaneous cervical hematoma associated with parathyroid adenoma," by Habib U. Rehman, Milena Markovski and Amer Khalifa which appeared at the website www.cmaj.ca. It mentions symptoms of parathyroid adenoma including cervical pain when swallowing, thoracocervical ecchymosis, and abnormal calcium levels. Furthermore, it says that hemotomas related to thyroid cysts are usually intracapsular and present a palpable tender nodule in the neck.
