ABSTRACT
The author discusses Performance Contracting Inc.'s renovation of Washington Hospital in Fremont, California using ProX Headers. He describes the project scope including the building of a 37,000-square-foot Central Plant, and the next phase which involves building a Center for Joint Replacement. He uses ProX Headers instead of the traditional built up box headers due to the hospital's two-mile proximity to the Hayward, California fault line. He details meeting California state agency requirements, ProX Headers testing and their successful installation.
