ABSTRACT
The article reports on the issue regarding the decline of the kings in Africa. It states that Buganda's king lost his palace and nearly his life. A crisis was brought to a head by Oxford-educated Constantine Bereng Seeiso Moshoeshoe II, who was left little more than a figurehead monarch by his country's new constitution. Premier Chief Leabua Jonathan saw in the royal actions a plot overthrow the new constitutional government.
